not sure what scenario the poster has in mind, which is exactly, why I asked for clarification.

I'm not sure I would worry so much about drones. It isn't difficult to fly them higher than a shotgun can reach.

The higher they fly , the less effective /accurate they are . I think there are ways to neutralize the drone issue .

Louisiana duck hunters could give drones a run for their money. T shot and bring back F shot, close to 100yd shots are possible. I can't incriminate myself but I've successfully shot something similar with a rifle up to 150yds and I'm not that great of a shot. Now these numbers are not going to threaten a Predator Drone but those are far more unlikely.

Agreed. If I am staying home, larger caliber for defense. If I'm on the go, 5.56 and 9m suppressed.
