As said, I have an IHC M1 with all matching/appropriate parts. My question is, where can I get the barrel gauged in order to list and price it accurately?

I stuck the 30-06 in and it goes to the brass. I’ve been told it’s not a good thing, but was looking for a place that could give an accurate measurement for an honest listing. Im in New Orleans area. Thanks for the link

there is a throat erosion gage and a muzzle wear gage, i believe. if your bullet goes to the brass, its beyond a 3 mw. throat erosion affects headspace, i think. there is a lot of information on the cmp site and forums for garand collectors. there are several variations of ihc's, postage stamp, gap-letter and arrow head. stocks can be very valuable depending on the markings. good luck
