Nice stocks! I will be ordering a set of their HG's! They have nice stuff, Butt stocks and Pistol Grips don't compare to BLUE MONSTERS, but BM doesn't make the HG's!

Here is where we are:
Currently, we have in stock, ( in American Black Walnut ONLY ), the following 5 Metric variant FAL butt stocks:

1. STG 58 cut for original STG 58 recoil pad, ( as found on original STG plastic butt stock )
2. STG 58 cut for original FN FAL steel butt plate, ( either trapdoor or non-trapdoor butt plate will fit)
3. G1 Type A butt stock, ( same plate cut as STG )
4. G1 Type B butt stocks, ( same plate cut as STG )
5. G1 Type C butt stocks, ( same plate cut as STG )

All of the above listed butt stocks are cut for the 360¢ª original military swivel.
Both STG 58 butt stocks, and the G1 Type "C" stock, are cut to accept the original front ferrule cap.
HARDWARE IS NOT INCLUDED (pics of example hardware will be posted on the new FAL page)

You can use the existing hardware on your old wood or plastic stock, or contact a FAL parts dealer
for the swivel, plate or ferrule cap.

Standard FN FAL Metric pistol grips are currently in stock ( in American Black Walnut ONLY )

1. They are exactly like the original grip, with selector cutaway, and will mount with your original
pistol grip mounting nut.

Both Metric and Inch hand guards have been final test cut, and fit our FAL upper spot on.
We are merely awaiting our local machinist to complete the new mounting screw threaded lug
and screw head retainer bushing. We are modeling them from the original style bushing.
MOUNTING BOLT FOR HAND GUARDS IS INCLUDED

Common question: Do the hand guards come with the metal inserts?
Answer: They do not.

Why? The cost is far too high to contract with with a metal stamping shop to engineer such a part, and for such small quantities. On average we will sell between 150-200 sets in a typical year. It is simply too expensive to pursue this feature. We have produced the FAL HG sets for over 16 years, and have never had any issues reported because of the lack of the metal liners. In addition, all of the new FAL parts take a good amount of time to prep, to cut, and to process after CNC cutting, we do not want to add any more cost to these products.

Our hand guards are beefed up internally, and are vastly stronger than the original pieces. Most original wood FAL hand guards that I have seen are split between the vent slots, and can literally be snapped in or cracked with a good firm grip. I have taken our new hand guards and have tried to crush them with both hands, and cannot make them flex or give. The changes we made are internal, and probably should have been the way the originals were made.

Israeli butt stocks, both heavy barrel and standard version will be available after the new year.
We figured these would be the in the least demand, so we held them off until we made the Euro parts first.

Inch pattern FAL stocks, are underway. As listed above, Inch hand guards have been completed, and are awaiting bushings.

Inch butt stocks, should be test cut this coming week. We will end up offering both British & Australian patterns.
(one is thicker than the other, and it escapes me at this moment which one is which, but I will clarify after I confirm it)

Inch pistol grips, will be the last part to follow. I anticipate 2nd week of January when test cutting will happen.

Condition of sets: All sets are sold unfinished, pre-fitted, and sanded to 150 grit. Our Tech page has some very simple yet detailed sanding on oil finish instructions. Parts will come to you very clean, so you don't have to exert a ton of finish sanding effort to get the full potential out of the grain.

Common question:
Why do single parts add up to more than what a complete sets costs?
Simple break down: We yield parts from same board to make nicely matched sets. When sets are broken up, we loose matched parts and may have to sit on them until an individual part is sold. FAL stocks take a huge amount of time to produce, and we are going to have to sell a ton of product to recover the time and $ spent as a result of the re-engineering process. Based on current surplus supplies, ( barley available), the fact that ours are US made, and that these parts for all intensive purposes are straighter
and should fit better that the originals, we feel the price we are asking is very fair.

When can I order?

Order may be placed immediately for all Walnut individual Metric butt stocks & Metric pistol grips. These parts can be shipped as early as this coming week.
Orders can also be placed for complete Metric sets, as the hand guard bushing is the only detail we are waiting on. All complete standard Walnut sets can be processed and shipped as early as the mid-week, first week of January.

Please do not place orders for Inch pattern sets yet. We will post on our site when those parts are available.

We anticipate heavy demand based on requests over the past year, so it will be first come first server regarding parts we have in stock. I also expect that we will be spending the first 2 weeks of January running more parts, should demand sustain after the announcement is sent, and the forums stat lighting up. Based on current economic conditions, this scenario could be completely different. In the past, we would send out 2-300 announcements, and only 30-40 of those contacted would respond and purchase. Regardless, please have patience and confidence that we will keep supplies up during the first onslaught of orders.

Last note regarding different wood types:
As noted, out first parts will be offered in American Black Walnut. Our recent materials purchased has yielded a very nice quality Walnut. Richly colored, with better than average, to very nice grain. We do not charge extra for the nicer grained parts that come from our standard Walnut blanks, and in general, will not cherry pick for the "good" stuff. We go for best match regarding color and grain. I do, however, know that you will like the wood quality.

There have been many requests for English or French Walnut, ( same species ), for the G series stocks, as most of the early Belgian FALs came with pretty nice wood for a military build. We have sourced the materials, and will be getting some sample blanks in house this coming week, to see what it yields. There will be an up-charge for this wood, and I will set that up-charge after we find out what it's going to costs us with shipping .
