It holds fist size groops at 250 yards.So it will work for both.

Im about to build a bull barrel Romanian rifle.It will have a 20 in bbl but will be very lite.Easyer to pack around in the woods.

I was thinking about that today as far as the bull barrel since they are 7.62 there should be a lot of high quality barrels out there.

Except Will @Red Stick has one in .308 for sale. My wife is going to hate him..

Yeah, the .308 vs. .311 is the bore diameter. A Lee Enfield .303 uses a .311 diameter projectile as opposed to a .308 diameter rifle. I'm pretty sure I read that the AK has a uses .308 diameter projectiles.
