Nice! I like the reddish hue. My Inland's barrel is marked 03-43.

I like to shoot rather than collect, and the upgraded rear sight is a big improvement over the WWII flip sight, according to accounts I've read.

For self defense I'd use my M1 Carbine (loaded with soft points, mind you!) over my AR15 any day...unless I was shooting beyond 200 yards....
