Looks like Silencer shop screwed up more than one.

    Thanks for the feedback guys.

I know that ATF approved my Form 4; they told me that much when I called them some weeks back. I am, quite literally, now just waiting for the paper to arrive at my dealer.

It's frustrating that in 2022, we're still mailing pieces of paper with little stamps on them.

I've been saying that since I started acquiring NFA items, years ago... It's been stupid since 1934.

All I'll say is check your status often. Silencer Shop screwed up a few times on mine. Bought my last can the 2nd day eforms went live and after 90 days was wondering what the hell was going on and, wouldn't you know it SS neglected to send an email with an "additional step" that needed to be completed. Stay on top of it.

I emailed Capitol Armory in TX yesterday to ask a few questions. I purchased my first F4 can there in 2020 and was well pleased with their services. Joshua @ Capitol informed me so far in 2022 they have seen two F4 efile approvals in the last 100 days. And one was a military expedite. And he told me they have filed thousands of F4 efiles since ATF F4 efile was restored.

I read somewhere on line recently a guy claimed in AK he got F4 approval in < 5 days. I'm starting to believe some of these folks are simply lying, for whatever reason. Might have been on reddit or arf, I cover a lot of territory on line lately. Or perhaps the advanced group on FB.

Just to pass on here, if you don't know Capitol Armory next door in TX now executes transfers one stop shop in Louisiana now. Actually several southern states now, and now they collect sales taxes on all purchases. I didn't pay any on my YHM Turbo I ordered back in Dec 2020. Upon ATF approval, they ship your silencer to your house. It just doesn't get much easier, don't even have to leave your house to fully execute an F4 purchase.

Got my eform approvals on Friday of all days (Good Friday). There were 2 different approvers (and yes Jessica was one of them). I was at 101 days on both.

Awesome, congrats. My first F4 purchase Dec 2020 took about 215 days to "can in my hands".

This is my first can. So did the email come from atf or where you bought it from. Just asking what to look out for. The eform online deal doesn’t tell you any updates of anything when you login to check status.

Comes from the eforms system just like when your dealer submitted. You and the dealer are on the email notification attached is an approved copy with the stamp on it. I had 2 forms out they came about 1.5 apart but it was also different approvers.

My eForm 4 was not ready to certify until Good Friday. That's about 3 weeks. I don't know if it was SS or my dealer with the hold up. Dealer was closed Friday and Saturday, so I couldn't do it until Monday 04/18.

I'll update how it goes from here. Dealer had a few eForms already passed the 90 day mark. My last paper form during COVID only took 5 months.

Peep on our F1 forum reported 39 days from efile to approval, F4. Reliable source.
Also reports on snipers hide forum, 40 to 75 day approvals. Not widespread yet but happening. Massive improvement vs 5 or 6 months ago.

I'm thinking it may be Silencershop as mine also took about 3 weeks to be ready to certify.

Did they ever inform you that the check cashed? If so, how long after you certified and submitted.

So I don't see a notification where the check was cashed on my timeline, but when I certified at the gun shop I recall seeing a charge go through from from Silencer Shop to the ATF. My timeline currently says awaiting ATF approval. I'm at 99 days, still not holding my breath.
