Has anyone here performed any trigger pull reductions on a Marlin 60?

If you have one, you know how long the break is.

And if you did your own job, did you go with the spring replacement kit or the complicated metal shaping process?

I have to believe the spring kit is the way to go!?!

    Any thoughts?

I have a model 60. I used to read a pretty good rimfire forum and there was plenty of people that did what is called the Bic Pen spring trigger job. I've never done this myself but many model 60 shooters seem to like the result. The forum is still around I'm sure. Google rimfire forums.

Rimfirecentral has plenty of info under their marlin semi auto forum. There are folks that swear by the spring swaps. I opted to polish everything. I'm happy with my results but can't speak to the spring kits.

I forgot to add: drill and tap the trigger guard behind the trigger. Add a set screw that allows you to reduce over travel. That is a game changer on the M60.
