do any of you guys know of a mutual fund that invests in land? I'm figuring a good company could purchase land right now and hold it until times are good. i think this would be a good long term investment. also, let me know if you agree.
One of the reasons I sold my practice was a REIT that I used as a cornerstone of every conservative portfolio I built started having issues. I lost all faith at that point. They had a 45 year track record without a loss. I think they are still in + territory but cut rates when they said they wouldn't cut rates twice. From there it is only a matter of time before share price erodes.
So... not really.
You should just buy whole life policies!
