It's nice to see so many new guns but I was disappointed in some of the ones that were left out, in particular the FN 502 22lr and FN 503 9mm compact. They did however feature the 502 in the same magazine issue.

Standard Mfg. | SG22 has my interest. Like a High Standard 22 or a Coltwoodsman.
I looked at the picture of this gun on their website and it doesn't look particularly well finished.

For a grand, you could find yourself a nice example of a Woodsman—an absolutely superb pistol with a gorgeous finish.

That said, I haven't held one in my hand ... so I may stand to be corrected.

Lots of Woodsman and High Standards on the market right now. Old people dieing and liberal kids selling all their guns. The prices of these old guns are going down because so many are hitting the market. Notice it last guns show. Prestine guns that I have not seen at shows in decades for cheap.

The Markings appear to be laser engraved.

The example pictured must have been a pre-production sample.

It is a high polish blue, but this example still shows the scratches from carding. (Third picture)

    The grips are nothing special.

    The photography is horrid.

What's the price? All I see is 'Coming Soon'.

A few weeks ago I sold a Smith & Wesson Model 41 that dated to 1961 for $600. It had the shorter barrel (5.5" I think) and the finish was in so-so condition, but in my opinion that was still a low price for that gun. Not that many years ago it would have easily fetched a grand.

That said, I'd put that Model 41 up against any new target pistol being sold today. And for the buyer that wanted to put a bit of elbow grease into it (it really just needed a thorough cleaning), he got himself a fantastic pistol at a great price.

The model 41 still sells for a K or more easily. $600 is a VERY fair price and I’d buy one in a heartbeat for that.
