Howdy. Live in Gonzales and am mainly a hunter, although I have been trying to break into the long range shooting recently, with limited options around where I live. Over the summer we put in a 500 yd range at the camp in Alabama, but the 4.5 hour drive each way and no shooting during hunting season, preclude this being my main area to practice LR.
Current setup is Remington 700 SPS-SS chambered for .270 WSM, Nikon Monarch Gold 2.5-10x56mm, with a Jewell trigger and B&C stock on the Christmas wish list. Normal hunting load for me is the Barnes Vor-TX TSX 140GR - consistent results, great ballistics and phenomenal performance on deer/hogs.
