    I’m curious how a muzzle brake would tame a 45/70.
    I know this is a old thread but talking about muzzle brakes, Freeman Jennings built a crack barrel .444 16 barrel with suppressor nd internal brake he called it. Me, my brother and my 11 yr old son son it, sounded like a .22 rifle and very little recoil, less than a .410 probably. My .444 Marlin lever gun has a decent "shove", but very manageable, this thing was ridiculous how tame it was sound and recoil.
