Bunkie Loosiana! I remember my dad stopping there every time we drove up to Texarkana to visit family. Had a little mom and pop store right there on Hwy 71 where he would load up on spicy pickled quail eggs and cracklings for the next leg of the trip. You really shouldn’t eat stuff like that on a long car trip and torture your family, but it made for an entertaining trip, laughing at my sister gagging in the back seat of that old Plymouth station wagon…
