New to the state - anything I should know about firearm laws?

I moved here from CA for work. I've been shooting most of my adult life and looking forward to shooting more here in LA. Are there any particular laws I should be concerned about specifically around transporting firearms? CA was somewhat strict on locking up firearms separate from ammo while traveling.

You are free to carry in your vehicle with no restrictions. You can open carry on your person if you so desire where it is not restricted by law.

It's in your best interest if you have any liberal California thinking or bad habits to ditch them If stopped by the cops , be respectful and answer their questions and the majority will respond in same

The only thing I’d say you need to know is how to come down here and enjoy freedom and DONT VOTE BLUE. This is a red state and we intend to keep it that way.

Don't open carry in New Orleans, it will not be a Good experience.
