I know everyone has an opinion and can site conflicting sources as to what needs to be done concerning energy prices. We need to do something different because our current policies are failing miserably. Many Americans are struggling to make ends meet. The high price of gasoline won't break the bank for me but I am intentionally driving less and slowing down as a matter of principle. Check out this clip and ponder Newts ideas. :)

Interesting video. As a matter of fact, next year when I re-balance my 401K I am seriously thinking about putting roughly %25 of my assets in mutual funds that are heavy into companies that build and develop nuclear power plants (Siemens, GE, etc..) I'll have to run this by Pangris first and see what he says.:eek5:

House Dems Call for Nationalization of Oil Refineries

Here's a link to a nice article that the dems are talking about. I found one last night on uk.reuters news and since has been removed, and one on fox that said it had been blocked.:eek3: It had the names of two dems, one from california and one from new york which if I remember right had put forth a bill for this, it was late and I may be wrong but it is interesting to search more on this. Here is a couple of links about dems suggesting seizure of the oil refineries...:squint: Needless to say, a storm is brewing...

"We (the government) should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market," said Rep. Maurice Hinchey, D-N.Y.

Maurice Hinchey: “We should own the refineries. Then we can control how much gets out into the market.” By “we,” Mr. Hinchey means, “the government.” Seriously. Government takeover of industry, 1930s Italy style.

And while they are seizing refineries they may seize our guns. Left wing socialists scare me.
