Observation today . .30 cal carbine ammo

I took my Winchester carbine to Sherburne today . I had one box of Aguilla
and one box of Mag Tech . I fired the Aguilla first . EVERY magazine had two to three failures to eject ( stovepipe ) . I blamed it on the rifle being old , weak springs , etc . When I finished that box and starting shooting the Mag Tech , there were NO failures of any kind . Also , the Aguilla was extremely dirty . Every spent case had black crud on it .

Which means they were loaded "light" and weren't fully obturating.

Dan, if you have anymore of the Aguila, I know "a guy" who has a .30 carbine blackhawk revolver who would let ya shoot it out of one day at sherburne.
