In my opinion the paddle is not secure but it’s enough for concealed carry. I almost always opt for the belt loop. It’s more secure and if you got caught off guard it’s harder for someone to take your weapon. You can just pull up and out on the bottom of the holster pushing the top or handle of the handgun into your side. Try that with a paddle and you will just pull the entire holster out. Then you got a whole new ball of wax. I’m a bigger guy so inside the waistband holsters are uncomfortable and annoying. If it’s annoying you unconsciously keep messing with it to get it to stop hurting you. In doing that you just told everyone that you were carrying and where.
