I learned that pocket carry adjacent to pocket knife is a problem. What to do?
That is a problem and one reason I wouldn’t pocket carry 100% of the time however I’m also thinking a fixed blade on the belt is an option. I do carry a Swiss army classic on the keychain to open packages and whatnot.

As much as pocket carry is growing on me I still carry in a IWB holster 85% of the time with a Knafs Lander in my pocket. For me pocket carry is a benefit for days that I go to a lot of places carry isn’t allowed so I can disarm without having to constantly adjust my belt. I don’t think one method will ever fit every day situations so for me it’s just another option.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, goes in the same pocket as my firearm. Knife clipped in back pocket, spare mag in opposite front. I do carry other items in the same pocket as the mag, only so many pockets.

I carry a Gerber PocketTool on my belt at 1:00, the G19 @ 3:30, and a S&W snubbie on ankle with a straight-blade attached (to the strap, not to the snubbie .. silly!). Added a short, stout fixed on a lanyard that I can yank out.

The PocketTool does most duties well, and also is just visible enough under my cover vest to keep the attention OFF the other stuff that does not show ~ but gives the impression "just more tools".

The shanks top and bottom are where I can reach when I canNOT get to the primary. If the threat is enough to pull a knife, it's threat enough to pull the Primary first if I can ~ and if not, that's why they are backups.

Muscle memory and decades of EDC will have to be modified if I'm to get used to pocket carry. My wallet and pig sticker ain't riding in the back together so may have to try a fixed blade on the belt. Cadillac style problems, to be sure.
