You're about to be raped, and you are legally entitled to use pepper spray and Tasers against your attacker??? It's time for the Louisiana Legislature to pass last year's House Bill 199 authorizing the carry of concealed handguns on Louisiana college campuses. A one out of four rape assault rate among female college students is unacceptable. The cops obviously can't clean it up. Let the students do the dirty work.

I don't know in LA if yall had to take "freshman 101" - I had to take it in TX, this was a class that was supposed to teach you how to stay out of credit card debt, balance a checkbook, do laundry... stuff that someone that lived under a rock did not know coming into college. Why don't they teach things like self defense and situational awareness in this class. When I was in college, my sorority was matched up with a fraternity. The fraternity's rushees were on 24 hour call. Anytime one of us needed a "escort" around campus, all we had to do was call. Always made me feel better having a guy there to walk me to my dorm. Having students cc on campus isn't the sole answer. I am pro cc, but at the same time, i can remember some crazy ass girls that i went to school with that i wouldnt want them armed with a butter knife, nevermind a gun.
