Yesterday I cooked three pounds of Blue Runner dried red beans. Got four smoked ham hocks from Bailey's in Laplace as well as andouille and smoked sausage in there. Smelled terrific but I probably won't be eating any myself for a couple of days.

Cooking down the onions, celery and bell peppers and getting the smoked hocks going. Bell peppers are from the garden and super crisp.

Bottom line ....... Yes, I much prefer Bailey's over Jacobs and WJ. I especially think Bailey's tasso is second to none.

Get this....the last time I stopped in at Bailey's approx 2 weeks ago they're selling soft shell crabs on a trial basis. Frozen, vac packed.

I never purchased a single thing from Bailey's in over 20+ years that disappointed me. I've tried the others too. Competition is always good for the consumer.

N4sir, keep dem pots a rattlin, and da pics a coming :)
