Can anyone recommend a gunsmith who could help me remove a Remington 721 barrel with the dovetail for a rear sight? I have the receiver wrench, but nothing I have tried to clamp down on the barrel will hold it strong enough to break the threads. Baton Rouge area, also interested in cutting barrel threads.
This project is already nipping at the budget for what a decent new rifle would cost, but would like to finish it nonetheless.
