It's interesting that during the pandemic, "conservatives" were up in arms about the state wanting to mandate masks. Apparently a piece of cloth over someone's mouth was an egregious violation of one's right to medical self-determination.

    But pregnancy? Game on.

Every "conservative" that supports this is no better than the leftist gun banners that want to mandate how we can defend ourselves and our family. It's nothing more than the state wanting to legislate every little aspect of our lives—and using state-sanctioned violence against us when we have the audacity to think for ourselves.

A long time ago, conservatism was about small government and minding your own damn business. I guess that's dead and buried.

I have no desire or interest in starting an argument on this issue. It's pointless and won't change any minds one way or the other. But an intelligent examination of the facts involved here should be taken into account. This judicial decision has nothing to do with telling women what they can or can't do. The federal government never had that power to begin with. Roe v Wade was an unconstitutional decision to start with. There is nothing in our constitution concerning abortion. Those decisions are to be made on a state by state basis. So this recent judgement had a strictly constitutional basis, just like their recent judgement in favor of second amendment rights. It's good to finally have a Supreme Court that does what it's supposed to do, determine the constitutionality of laws.

A day when Fed.gov is stripped of overreach they never should have had in the first place is a good day. The SCOTUS finally has corrected this. RBG the used to be lib goddess questioned the validity of r v w on record. Now as libs, tantrum animals that they are, are holding RGB in contempt.

The mask comparison is extremely weak. Anything less than a respirator and you are pissing in the wind and most likely doing more harm than good, both physically and psychologically.
On the other hand, with abortion, there is a strong argument on both sides but personally, if you are ok with purposely killing a baby in the womb, then you should also be perfectly ok with killing a baby outside of the womb. The only difference there is you don't have to look at it while you kill it when it's inside someone.

Sometimes the ignorance of some of you is down right embarrassing! Southern CONSERVATIVES were the slave owners. The FACT that some of you still want to claim that the Republican Party of today is the same as it was in Lincoln's time is absurd and can be proven WRONG! Either educate yourselves or grow up. You are supposed to be responsible adults.

Apples and oranges. All overturning RvW does is return the issue of abortion to the states. Since abortion, and healthcare in general, is not mentioned in the Constitution, it falls under the 10th Amendment.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Don't try to dilute the hysteria by injecting facts into the mix .

With all this (typical) leftist mayhem over this "issue", I've started wondering if protesting red flag laws would be worthwhile.

    (This is satire, of course)

We're too busy earning a living and trying to enjoy Life a little.

Just a note that US Civil War wasn't completely fought over slavery and that there were slaves in both the north and the south before, during, and after the war.

1 - either that was my response or it only looks that way to you.

2 - some black slave owners had MANY slaves. Either all slave owners obtained their slaves the same way or there must've been a One-Stop Slave-Mart for the non-white slave owners.
Maybe that's why some of you anti-American individuals want to erase American History, so you can rewrite it with your emotion- and hate-driven falsehoods.

3 - your anti-Conservative (and anti-white) rhetoric is mildly amusing.

    So, continue...

    Exactly.
The Civil War was about the South not wanting to join the Union, respectively.
