Anyone catching this colossally messed up show? The first two seasons were great, and I had heard they had to write the last three episodes for the single purpose to close loose ends but somebody took way too many drugs during the writer's strike.

I've calmed down after watching both episodes. I'm still extremely unhappy with it.

Four years and one of my very favorite series, hands down. Part of it's charm was how broken so many people on the show were. I think I'm going to miss Rhetta the most, to be honest.

I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes and an occasional episode here or there but really didn't get into it. It was really gross seeing Holly Hunter in the nude scenes in the early episodes. She was this pale, skinny thing which looked like some smack addict you see doing cheap Bang Bus porn. The stories didn't really interest me either. My better half claims that my raging militant atheism kept me from enjoying the plot but I just didn't like it. She hasn't watched it since last season and plans on catching up on it by downloading it via Pando.

The second season had the anti capital punishment bruhaha, but no more so than anywhere else. I think those few episodes cast a local execution accurately as I imagine them to be. I'm sure every prison gets the same communal protest days before a publicized sentence. The show focused on people who were severely impacted by the Oklahoma City bombing. I didn't get the anti-death sentence feeling at all. Probably quite the opposite.

I think the final scenes should have extended a bit more. But it probably wouldn't have received the same reactions. I'm okay with Grace's decisions but the writers were given three additional episodes to provide "closure". That wasn't exactly my definition of closure.
