Please don’t take this as me attacking you or trying to start an argument. I know sometimes text can be easily misinterpreted but what does being law enforcement have to do with you always carrying? Is it department policy for where you work to carry even when off duty?
yes and we’re told that we’re law enforcement 24/7

Toodamgoofy please don’t take offense but when it first started maybe 2-3 years back they were mostly there and scammers using that area code for some reason. Looking at what they selling you would have thought guys from the Leesville/Ft Polk area. Now they use every area code in the damn state and elsewhere.
Luckily there are a couple of guys calling them out saving us a bunch of time and letting me skip over them. Ya just gotta know your real pricing and if it’s too good to be true it’s a scam..like a 600 dollar Python my ass…

I think most of these are long distance scams, for 1. But also, think about it. when buying and selling firearms, you can assume that the person on the other end is also armed at a meet-up. Most criminals are like animals, they are looking for low-hanging fruit. Much better to rob someone who is probably NOT armed than someone who probably IS armed.

Wow! That almost sounds like "the only thing that deters a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun." Who woulda thunk? ( actually, I didn't even write that with this in mind, it just hit me at the end!) :dogkeke:
    +1

I would even be hesitant to deal with a new, not established, user on BS. I'm not a huge fan of meeting strangers from the internet, but seeing they've been a member here for a few years, and positive feedback, makes me feel better about it.

I've scored a few good deals and sold a few items on LAS.

Yes, I'm more comfortable dealing with folks here, but common sense goes a long ways with either. Hell, my last purchase, guy had it listed here and there!

Prior navy also. USS New Jersey was my girl. Decommissioned her in 1991
Nice! I was an AO stationed onboard CVN 68, USS Nimitz. Also did a small stint TAD to Naval Security Forces onboard the ship. Had a blast while I was in and would have re-enlisted if I didn’t have a wife and kids now. Not exactly the life for a family man.
