    Kennah!
Hello all I have a .338 Lapua and am looking for a good scope that’ll get me out to 1k yds. Looking for mid-priced optics. Thank you for reading.

I've used Zeiss, S&B, and especially Nighforce in the passed and been extremely happy. Most recently I tried a Burris 6.5x40(can't remember the model )with a great deal of results. You mentioned "mid priced" scope. This Burris was around $950. It was doing everything the $2500 scope was doing.

Athlon Ares ETR is best bang for the buck, in my opinion, at that distance - I have one in stock if you are in Lafayette and want to check it out.

Have you taken a look through the new NF NX8?
They have one in 4-32x50 F1 for 2k.
I want to put my hands on one to play with. I’ve got the 5-25x ATACR on my 338L and a 7-35x on a 6x47L. Damn good glass that is on par with my Schmidt Bender scopes.

I’ve recently looked closer at Burris.
the warranty is excellent. No proof of purchase.
bought one for my sons 30.06 and it’s been great.
As a side note, Sig has built an office in the same place as leopold. Then poached a bunch of their design engineers. Sig is playing with deep pockets and
    recently won a gov contract.
    that’s something to consider.
