scuba tank

I am looking for an aluminum scuba tank (not steel) for a project, I'm cutting it open so it can be an older alum tank that's out of hydro or out of date

We've got one sitting around at the shop, no clue what's in it. Not sure if it's aluminum or steel though, I'll check tomorrow.

Hey 103M, I just checked it and I'm pretty sure it's steel. It's fairly heavy, and a magnet was attracted to it, although not too strongly. If there's some other way to know for sure, let me know.

103 get in touch with some local dive shops. look for some that are out of date or damaged. if anyone has a good tank let me know.
