I ordered a MR920 Elite and figured I’d see if anybody else here owns a Shadow Systems pistol. I’d be interested in pics of how it’s set up and your experience with it. Thanks.

That’s a nice set there, the guy who sold you that 26 is probably a great guy . How has the SS slides held up? Is that a SS barrel as well?

It has all factory internals, Glock barrel as well. I just stripped a new factory slide, polished the trigger, and put a - connector in it.
I honestly have not been shooting much this past year or so, so it probably only has a few hundred rounds through it but so far it's been all good.

Finally got mine. It’s noticeably lighter than a G19 and HS a pretty nice trigger. I’m going to get a Holosun 507 to put on it and try it out.

    I've been eyeing an MR920L

How's the trigger? Do we know if aftermarket glock trigger stuff drops in?

The trigger is pretty nice to me, although I’ve always kept my Glocks stock. Everything should be compatible with Gen 3/4 Glock parts. Here is a pic of the frame If it helps. I can take closeups of whatever else you want to check out.

Just ordered one today. Couldn't decide on whether or not I wanted a threaded barrel but I found a great deal on a non-threaded so I ordered it. Also got the green dot Holosun with vulcan reticle coming in. Haven't read one bad thing about these guns yet!

Serious question, since I know zero about these mock-Glock guns.

I see the XR920 on Shadow's website, and it appears to be essentially a Glock 19X (or Glock 17) pattern pistol. I can pick one up on GunBroker for $889 ... that's almost twice the cost of the factory Glock.

What's the appeal of a company like Shadow Systems over a regular Glock? Is it just the aesthetics of the mill cuts in the slide and the barrel, or is there more to it?

And, are there any police agencies actually running these, or are these really just enthusiast guns?

LEA's which pay no FET can purchase 2 NIB 9mm Gen 5 Glocks with Ameriglo night sights OTD for less than $899.

Well, that's the gist of my question.

Of course, the same can be said of lots of guns. I can buy a single Nighthawk 1911 for the price of roughly three Colt 1911s, but there really is no comparison ... the Nighthawk is, without fail, a handmade pistol of superlative quality, while the Colts will be hit-and-miss.

I don't find Glocks to be all that variable in terms of quality, though; the dozen-odd Glocks in my safe are all excellent performers.
