    I don't know if I've ever killed a rabbit with anything besides my single shot marlin 22 or my 410 wingmaster, but they've taken dozens with each. I haven't seen a rabbit in forever since the hogs started showing up. Never used dogs though either.

    I don't generally use the shotguns on anything I want to eat unless it flies.

    They all work fine. It's the person using it that will make the difference if you hit them and/or how bad you ruin the meat.

    Also, If you ever get into shooting birds, dont believe ANY of the propaganda from shell and choke manufacturers.

    IIRC my 12 ga BPS has a 26" Modified (before SG's came with removable chokes) Great
    gun for me. Spreader wads helped with on closer small game.

    "patterning board" = best thing to do !!
    Given that I would never argue with a Dust Off Pilot, as they are the very best, my Dad's 16 gauge single shot took many Iowa rabbits. Kicked like hell, but it means a lot to me.
