I'm looking at buying an octane 45 2.0 to use with glock 19s, an mp5 9mm clone and a cmmg banshee 10mm.
My two big questions of concern is:

What 3 lug mount will work with the mp5 clone?
1.) The wording on the silencer co website is pretty vague. First hand experience would be great.

2.) How well does the octane 45 2.0 handle the 10mm cartridge?

    TIA

    Mike

I've owned a 1st gen octane since 2013. The Octane 45 is a very robust design for a pistol can.

I use mine on my sp5 and I've also used it on friends/customer clones as well as other 3 lugged guns. It's fantastic.

I had a original "external" 3 lug from Sico. It had a lot of wobble. But since I upgraded to the internal newer style 3 lug mount that SiCo offers the play is minimal. 10mm is no issue for the octane 45.

The part number for the 9mm 3 lug is AC2447.

There are instances of people shooting 44 magnum through a 16" barrel equipped with a octane 45. 44 Magnum is balistically more powerful and more pressure than 10mm.

My Octane 45 is at home on my SP5.

Here's some info on the 3 lug system.

If you plan on running 3 lug on a 10mm you will have to go with the 45 caliber version of the 3 lug system as the thread pitch on the CMMG 10mm Banshee is the common 45 pitch thread: .578x28. Part # AC2448

Thanks for all that information! I plan on using a piston with the direct thrrad spacer for the banshee! Also thanks for the info on what 3 lug piece to get to mate it to the mp5 clone. I wasn't sure if the 45acp 3 lug was just meant for the octane 45/ 9mm 3 lug for the octane 9. Thanks for clearing that up for me!

You're welcome. Let me know if you have any questions.

If your mp5 clone is a "k" model with the short barrel get a #28 locking piece from Rim Country Mfg when running the can. If it is a standard length mp5, slap your can on and have a good time.
