Does anyone have any exprience with Sightron SIII series scopes? I have read a lot of good reviews comparing them to Nightforce and Leupold, but was wanting feedback. I'm looking at the 8x32x56 model with Mil-dot. Any feedback would be appreciated, thanks.

My experience has been excellent with Sightron scopes. I have 3. My latest one is an SI II Big Sky 6X24X42 on my 10-22 target rifle. It is better than my 18+ year old Leupold VX 3 with similar specs. I suspect the Leupolds have improved as well. I don't think the Sightron is as good as a Nightforce although I don't own one. I do have a Sightron spotting scope and a mil dot high power scope that is also 6X24. They tend to do well with repeatable settings from the turrets and do hold zero well. Glass is very good and overall quality is quite good on the Japanese scopes. I don't know if the latest scopes are still made in Japan, but if so, I don't think you will be disappointed at the price point they are at. Hope this helps.
