SKS Scope

I'm looking for a good scope for my SKS but I don't even know where to begin. I don't know if I should mount it in the front or rear. Please help looking to get one for Christmas.

Go here and do a search. www.sksboards.com I'd stay away from the receiver cover mounts, they generally suck.

I have a homemade one on one of mine. Drilled and tapped into the receiver.

Yuppers. Also keep in mind anything but the smallest scopes will block the magazine opening, and may not allow you to use stripper clips anymore. By the time I found a scope for my SKS that was small enough to maintain the stripper clip ability, it was pretty much pointless so I just took it back off.

This was a receiver mount, FWIW...
