Slidell/ Hwy 11 bridges

Anybody been out there lately? Had planned on going this past weekend but the fog kinda scared me off...just wondering if I should have gone and wonder if the fishes are still committing suicide there....

man, i was on I-10 coming from slidell two nights ago and i b.s. you not, i did not know i was on the bridge until i glanced at my GPS on my phone and saw that i was almost on the south shore. and then, after a while of driving through NO east, i didn't know how long i'd been on the south shore until I saw the Michoud street sign. that fog seriously through me off. never again, especially at night.

his grandpa lives right there off of carr drive (if you're familiar with the slidell area) its right by the northshore side of the hwy 11 bridge. thats where we go out of. theres also a small launch literally right when you get off the hwy 11 bridge on the left hand side that people use and its free. (used to be a bait and tackle place before katrina) havnt been too good lately though. YMMV
