Anyone have any thoughts on Smith & Wesson's new CSX?

Interesting to see this product launch at a time when plastic fantastics seem to have taken over.

Looks nice! If only they had made it single/double action. Does this ride on the inside of the frame like a CZ? Looks like it.

Totally agree. I think that was the biggest let down for me, I wish it was single/double action. Would be pretty much a guaranteed buy from me if it were.

Interesting. I've been shooting 1911's for long enough that I don't really care about a DA pistol at this point. Not trying to provoke a fight about SA vs DA ... it just hadn't occurred to me that not being a DA pistol could be a liability to its sales.

I guess some of the 3rd gen S&W pistols were SA/DA. Not sure what that did to their size.

I think it looks good. Nice to have a firearm with some heft to it. Should make shooting it pretty nice. I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on one to try out.
