In April, the City Council of Savannah, Georgia, passed an ordinance making it illegal to store a gun in an unlocked car, punishable by up to 30 days in jail. Some 233 guns were stolen from cars here last year. Other cities and states are considering similar actions. Frankly, I don't think I have a problem with this, but I'll have to give it a bit more thought.

Ok so were these reported cases in which gun stolen from vehicle because no forcible entry or picked lock. Really seems unnecessary because it punishes people who committed no crime. Again this is savanah, they've got SCAD university and they are more left leaning part of Georgia (left leaning anti blah you know the drill) Where they got multiple anti gun zones. So bad on owner if they got bunch of stickers/advertising but shouldn't be charged, why is it their fault someone else committed a crime against them. Ignorance might've caused it though they had. Trespassing and Theft committed against them.

That’s right, arrest the victim of a crime but don’t lock up the criminal. I’m guessing dumb dem city council.
Remember to brake your window before reporting your gun stolen from your car.

I’m never in support of punishment for a victim. Even if that victim was a dumb ass for leaving a gun in an unlocked car.

Should we punish people for leaving front doors unlocked? Side gates? Office buildings?
What if I want to leave my patio door open on a nice day? Should I be punished if some low life decides to enter without permission?

    Success is not an option....

Yeah, putting a victim of a crime in jail for being an "accessory"??

I stand firm that it is all 100% women's fault, everything is their fault. If they would not have had kids, none of this would be happening.
