    Yeah, there are horror stories of people arrested because their connecting flight through Newark was cancelled and their checked baggage (containing a firearm) was returned to them for the night. As they were heading to the motel, to wait for the next day's flight they were arrested.

    You can't interrupt your travel through the state.
    Dang. When does the tyranny end? Think about what it would take on the government’s end to make this happen. What it would take locally to pull that off. Disgusting..

    Yeah, it took Governor pardons by Chris Christie to free several out of state citizens ensnared in NJ's web.

    I hate compromises of our rights! The auto ban was a result of a compromise with the Dems to allow interstate travel with legally owned firearms through highly restrictive states.
    That law is not what people think it is. It does not protect you. You can be and will still be arrested under a given state's laws (see New York city) and jailed--then dragged into court. THEN the law comes into play as an AFFIRMATIVE DEFENSE. So it is virtually useless in a practice sense.
