They are kicking the can down the road till they pack the court with all leftist or one retires or passes. The 2A will within 10 years be a distant memory. Only one way to right this wrong…who?? I’m only doing my job…take it up with the courts. Politicians don’t enforce these tyrannical decrees. Unfortunately it will only be enforced on law abiding citizens. Criminals will do criminal $hit…no matter what!

Justice Barrett’s ruling in no way upholds the ban. The SC typically prefers to weigh in on cases after they’ve run the course through the inferior courts.

In this particular instance the circuit court judge (Easterbrook?) set an expedited hearing to address the injunction. Strategically he knows the SC is less likely to get involved if the circuit court expedites the matter for consideration. By not expediting he runs the risk of the SC taking action it sees necessary because of time.

In this case the SC/Barrett is allowing the circuit the opportunity to make the “right” decision based on Heller, Bruen.
If Easterbrook and the other 2 judges ultimately uphold the ban then the pro-gun side will ask the SC to accept the case, which will settle the so-called assault weapons ban for good. And the strong likelihood is that the SC would rule in favor of the 2A.

There are a lot of moving parts and variables in play. This is far from settled and unfortunately it’s gonna take some time. Don’t buy into the news media/Ministry of Propaganda spin that this is such a major victory for gun control and devastating to the 2A. At this point it’s procedural in nature, the issue is NOT settled - not by a long shot.
