    Yea, but no.

    That wasn't Somali Pirates.

That was a Hootie (Iranian) drone boat with an explosive warhead.

That same ship was hit by one missile with minimal damage, and had another missile miss and explode nearby.

This is a result of Biden's Third War that the press rarely mentions.

It happened in the Red Sea near the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

That makes more sense. I knew that explosion had to some sort of ordinance on board. Gas or diesel doesn't behave like that. Either way I like it.

That's a very informative YouTube channel. Sal has his finger on the pulse of maritime affairs.

Nice. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. I read somewhere last night that wealthy Russians were outfitting luxury yachts with heavy weapons and selling pirate hunting expeditions near Somalia.
    That's been debunked.
Imagine how long that would last. People pay top dollar to go on a big cargo ship with Spartan like accommodations and spend entire weeks hoping for pirates that don't show up or quickly retreat after being fired upon. They don't stick around for a fight to the death if a cargo ship is armed to the teeth. They are thieves; not fanatics willing to die.
The Russians do arm their crews on cargo ships quite well, but there's no guided pirate hunts.
The idea of putting heavy weapons(real weapons of war) in the hands of tourists who have mostly watched movies and TV is taking on insane levels of liability. Drop a loaded RPG on the deck and you are fu$ked!. An errant 40mm round from an M203 and little Johnny has no legs or testicles.

I thought it might be the Red sea. It did seem like it was laden with high explosives used to torpedo a ship like what happened some years back with the USS Cole
