    Damn Jim, I actually agree with you! I hope that this will last, but I'm watching out for the long haul. I just wished I would have invested :( Instead, I had to invest in my wife's trip to Rome...lol

    best advice I have heard so far, for people with nest eggs based in the stock market, is to take out a 5yr cushion...what you will need in the next 5 years, and keep the rest in the market.

    This is a broken system, it will fail...the sooner it fails the better for us all.

    $0.00 as far as I know. :)

    I've known this was coming for a while, though I am tempted to play the market...and should b/c I'm good at it, I abstain.

    Better now than 10-20yrs from now when the 401k has a lot more to lose, IMO.

    Our money is no longer backed by hard assets, that means that 'we the people' need to back ourselves with hard assets.

    I could be making a fools mistake, and when I'm older and homeless...as opposed to young and homeless like now, I hope you guys will toss me your old french fries and chicken bones. ;)

    How can anyone be homeless ??

    Go to any bank and apply for a mortgage. You'll get the loan irrespective of your income or credit worthiness.

    When it is later determined that you have no way to repay the loan, the Government will step in to make sure the bank doesn't foreclose, and will also protect the bank that made the loan.

    Of course it would be simpler for the government to just buy everyone a house, using taxes paid by the wealthy. But that would be socialism.

    I have a place to stay until my birthday, Dec 4th. :)

    Been looking for an apartment since I'm not sure that I want to stay in BR or Louisiana permanently. Hard to find an affordable place to live, by myself, that isn't ghetto.

    Credit = 774, wooo!
