While I agree that this was an act of stupidity, a little compassion might be appropriate.

After all; Who among us has never done anything stupid?

I wonder daily why God allows me to walk among the living after all the stupid stunts I've pulled off.

Now there is a young lady, and her children, that will have to live with this the rest of their lives.

I think they've paid a high enough price for their stupidity.
