2. Did you contact your state rep. and let him know how you feel?

3. Did you contact the governor and express your feelings?

Just curious because that raise flew through and 90% of the people I spoke with opposed it.

I think a lot of people contacted their reps. and Jindal for all the good it did. 1 good thing is that all my local reps voted against it and all but 1 say they will refuse the extra pay and put it back into the community. I'll wait and see, time will tell.

1. Honestly, I felt the pay raise was unneccesary. None of the reps are doing it to earn a living anyway. They really should make a habit of donating their salry to United Way or back to the general fund or something. I also feel that their personal financial records should be made public. That'll deter the lobbyist... not stop them, but make them work a bit harder.
