I have been noticing more and more that companies are focusing on their trigger designs. Im curious as to how a trigger can change the accuracy of a bullet. I've seen in many instances where a simple trigger job will make a rifle more accurate. How is this possible? I can understand how bullets, barrels or brakes can affect accuracy... but how exactly does a trigger have that much impact on a bullets flight?

it's not the accuracy of the bullet as much as the accuracy of the shooter.

A person may lose aim slightly with a heavier pull than a light pull.

I think they are designing triggers to be easier to pull with less chance of moving the weapon.

    but I could be wrong...

Ah, now that makes sense. For some reason I was under the impression that something in these triggers was mechanically making the rifle more accurate.
    Thanks!

    Pretty much ConstitutionLover has it.
He is a pretty good shot. He has a heavy rifle with a light trigger. But he also shoots a pistol well, so its not just the trigger on that rifle.

One way to look at it is: The trigger does not add to the accuaracy so much as it detracts less from it. There are different aspects of a triggers movement. It is considered by many to be a good place for improvement.
