I am still exploring options for a bigger generator 12-15KW. What I am interested in is a used 1800 rpm gasoline inline 3-4 cylinder, car type engine, that I can convert to trifuel. Is there anyone who knows of a source in the Houma / Baton Rouge / New Orleans area for such a thing. Ideally I would like a compact unit that I could possible put on a roll around cart.

Todd, What about one of the Military Mep 0003a? they will run on anything similar to diesel and are 1800 rpm with an external pump for pulling from a drum or larger tank? 3k to 3500 gets you tons of power.. rated for 15k at extreme everything.. labeled 12k for high altitude and such..

I am spoiled with NG. This video shows what I kind of have in mind. My mother has one exactly like this but it is a 7.5KW.

    This would work too.

I looked on Craigslist , and there were a ton of generators on there, including the military diesel types. Saw generators from 1kw to 215kw!

Yes, Craigslist has lots of generators listed but nothing like what I am looking for. None were compact like the above ones and most of the bigger ones were diesel.

I have not started calling around yet. I will start to do that on my next 5 day off stretch with any suggestions I get form this board. There are also 2 big generator companies in Houma I will try too. I just can not think of the names right now.
