I have a custom stock on my 10/22 rifle that i am considering wrapping in vinyl. Does anyone have any expierience with trying this. Any tips, tricks, suggestions or even questions are always appreciated. Before you ask, its a purple reciever and carbon fiber barrel. I want the stock to be yellow.

I did a camo pattern wrap on a shotgun once.

    It's not easy.

    I'm not good at it.

Still, it's functionable, durable and doesn't look too bad, from a distance.

My son has a little "wrapping" experience and from what I've seen the object being wrapped must be held firmly and not movable while you stretch and wrap the object. They have some pretty inexpensive kits on Amazon for this, but I don't have actual experience myself. Good luck and pics please when you are done with it.

My wifes says she would like an AR in 22lr and it in Camo so I thought about building one and having it dipped. Bound to be way cheaper than Ceracote.

It really depends on what you are wanting, if its pretty basic then yes. If it requires alot of stencil or laser work then the dip would be cheaper.
