If it's for everyday planking, it's perfect. Sometimes you can find on sale for for around $300. It's certainly on the "budget" side for Vortex.

Strikefire or strike eagle? I'm gonna assume strike eagle. I've never been impressed by those, but I may be spoiled. Still, I think the Gen I PST 1-4x is a better buy, if you can live with the turrets.

C_DOES , this guy on tube does some good reviews and comparisons on scopes and does side by side comparisons through the scope with similar scopes . I bought a pst gen 1 1-4 after watching his videos and before I buy another one I’ll check if he’s reviewed it yet
