Greetings from the wild and not so wonderful Livingston Parish,
Long time reader/follower, first time-ish poster. I'm Seth from the south end of Denham Springs. Grew up still hunting around Bayou Sorrel and some family land in Loranger. Spent 8-10 years chasing turnarounds that severely dampened my availability during most hunting seasons. Other than a handful of years, that I paid for a spot, participated in work weekends, scouted, hung stands and slung corn only to be sent out of state to miss the entire season, I have sat on a few stands at my In-Laws lease near Pine Grove. Recently I've finally taken a job locally where I'll be able to get back to spending more time in the woods. Me and a few buddies have built a camp in Tensas where we hunt and fish Big Lake and Buckhorn.
I hunt turkey, white tail, squirrel and I shoot hogs and coyotes. My 8 year old's new found hunting and fishing interest is my main reason to get back at it. Cant wait to see him harvest his first deer and turkey.
