For those that think about constantly compromising here is a quote for you. Let’s see if anyone can guess who said it.

The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful, and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control.

Take a wild guess!! The answer will surprise the hell out of everyone.

    Hard Pass.

Sounds like something a german jew would say in the 1930’s doesn’t it? It was Timothy McVeigh, the punk that killed innocent people in Oklahoma City.
You mean the patsie that took the fall for Oklahoma City...

Compromise? Test study of every single ******* law on the books. All 25,000 pages. If all of these laws can’t be PROVEN to stop/solve crimes to justify their existence within a couple of years…automatically sunsetted! Then and only then I would consider adding new gun laws. That, to me, is an actual compromise

If you're under 21, the questionaire gets sent to the local PD and they must affirm to all the questions. The reality is that we aren't even prosecuting gun crimes in blue cities and they have cut police department budgets to the point where they will say it can't be done. My compromise would be: 1- the affirmation above; 2- restore police budgets to pre-2008 levels; 3- reinstate prosecution of gun crimes to include gang and gun sentence enhacements. It will never happen.

OK, the consensus is that we can't trust them. But we do have a serious problem with gun violence for violence sake. So, what solutions do any of you have to fix this problem??? And no arming teachers is not the answer, I want them trained to teach our kids, not get into a running gun battle. And I don't want nor need cowardly cops, like those in Uvalde! How do we keep guns out of the hands of those who will abuse them?

Can’t trust them? It goes wayyyy beyond that. Just the fact that they drop the gun charges 90% of the time against the hardened criminals tells you all you need to know.

As for solutions, Constitutional Carry would be a good start. Criminals fear armed victims more than anything (including the Police). UCR bears this out. This is why schools are attacked (GFZ) and Police Stations and gun ranges aren’t. Look at the Aurora shooter a few years back. He drove by some 9 movie theaters to the one where he attacked movie goers. Was it the closest to his house? No. Was it the largest? No. Most popular? No. It was the only one where law abiding citizens were not allowed to carry. So he knew that there would be nobody shooting back.

Arm teachers? Forcibly? Hell no. Allow those that are trained and would like to legally carry on school grounds? Heck yea! Concealed means concealed. Just get the word out that educators and administrators MAY be armed and you will very likely see a decrease in these school shootings.

Also, stop publicizing and romanticizing these lunatics that commit these heinous acts. Don’t mention their names and give them no publicity. Just like when a naked person runs into the football field, totally ignore it.

None of these things will ever happen, because those on the left don’t want this to stop! They need these shootings to continue to achieve their political ends, which is why the media spends an insane amount of time on these shootings while ignoring the out of control gang violence in our major cities.
