    to the OP, spend an extra buck or two & get a quality mag.

    I'm talking AK74 mags... so that would be about $25 extra for a quality mag.

    I got steel Polish mags, EG bakelights, and Bulgy? polymer mags... I just don't wanna beat them up when training.

    Realistically, you won't hurt the poly mags. I know it sucks now that they're $30+ a pop, but I've been through two classes and plenty of range sessions with Bulgy polymer mags and they were none worse for the wear. I've yet to hear of a single good commercially produced AK mag, surplus is the way to go.
