You can now add Barret Firearms to the list of American companies sold to a foreign corporation.

Jan. 18, 2023 Australian defense contractor NIOA has acquired Barrett Firearms rifle manufacturing company, and production enterprise. NIOA Group is a major Australian firearms supplier of weapons and ammunition to the Australian and New Zealand defense forces, law enforcement agencies and commercial markets. NIOA expanded its global reach with the 100 per cent acquisition of the industry-leading rifle design and manufacturing company, Barrett Firearms.

It's always nice to hear that another piece of the US Manufacturing base has been sold to a foreign entity.

Question???? how many american companies that might actually physically make their product in the United States but their corporate headquarters are located off shore ( outside the physical borders) for tax break purposes?????...... How many of these and other companies are owned by companies that are owned or the controling interest happens to be non -american people that are from outside the United States.???? ........How many american companies that still might be owned and operated have moved some or all of their manufactoring to locations outside the United States for tax purposes and or cheaper labor..... Just remember the "dollar" is the bottom line that most of these companies care about.....And the "dollar" looses more and more of its value everyday.......And when these companies layoff experienced workers and replace them with young inexperienced workers for less pay and less benifits................. drill sgt.
