cabelas has 9mm wolf fmj in 2x500rd in dry cans for 109.

other than them being steel cased which isn't an issue since precision dropped the casing rule, is anything wrong with them for range use?

i think wallyworld is either 12.99 or 13.99 and most of the time they don't have more than a few of the 100 packs

the wolf is 105.99 and then 11.75 shipping.

Here's my receipt from Walmart couple days ago
    100 ct 9mm 12.88
    100 ct 9mm 12.88
    tax 1 6% 1.55
    tax 3 3% .77
    Total 28.08

    28.08 / 200 = 14.04 cents / round

    Cabelas (if above #'s correct) 105.99 + 11.75 = 11.77 cents / round

But the cheapest 1000 of wolf 9mm I see at cabela's is $154.99

Is there some discount or special deal going on I don't see?

there's a disclaimer... I entered the catalog number from the above picture:

    154.99

"Due to the manufacturer's increased cost of metals and other materials being passed on, we have found it necessary to increase the prices to current levels. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause.

Wolf has changed to a polymer coating on the steel case of this ammunition, which is an improved coating process. Previously cases were coated with green lacquer."

I bought a case of Wolf 5.56 to play around with. Not as hot as Lake City, but accuracy is not bad from what I've shot so far. From what I've read, 5 years ago, Wolf was crap (corrosive primers, inconsistent loads, etc), but now they've made a lot of good improvements and its decent ammo. I have no complaints with the case I bought.
