Most of the time your better off without them. People just panic and slam on brakes causing you to actually get there slower.

Correct. People see lights and hear a siren, they freak out more often than not.

I'd like more details on this, including what type of call he was responding to and how fast he was traveling in that 45 mph speed limit area. Of course, I am also curious as to why she was supposedly stopped in either lane at that time with likely very little traffic.

He was going 90mph. I try to tell people a 50mph crash is a major crash but here is a video of a 90mph crash. It’s like a bomb.

I wasn't really doubting the speed on impact so much as the speed leading to the accident. I have seen accidents with relatively low rates of speed and the damage pretty bad.

I question the dumbness of the stalled cars in the lanes of travel all of the time.
People are stupid and just let the vehicle roll to a stop in the lanes of travel vs trying to get to the edge..
then they stand around in the traffic like fools..
Its Sad the guy was likely going faster than the limit posted, running to either a scene or to backup someone else..
I know its bad form to blame the dead people but we do for other things, drugs, gun play and ****, why not drivers?
