I need a replacement part for a ak-47 tapco folding stock. The plunger at the joint snapped in half. Thats what I need. I'm not even sure if they sell those. Just hope i get lucky

Crapco has a lifetime warranty on most of their products. Give them a call. I've seen lots of those folders with broken hinge pins.

    Must post pic.
I may be able to produce one on the lathe. I'm not volunteering, yet, but if it is a simple design, I'll see what I can do.

I'm not the original owner. You think the warranty will still apply. Even without papers or anything?

Good idea. Call them and give them a little attitude:
"Hey, this POJ is broke. What kind of junk are you guys peddling?"
If they don't play ball, I'll see what I can do. "Hinge pin" makes it sound easy.

my camera was out of batteries, but luckly i was able to find these great and convienent pictures online. The left one is the plastic POS that I have, it basically broke off at the point where it tapers from the large half to the small half. The left is a steel one somebody probably made

The early tapco folders had a plastic pin, they have since replaced it with an improved steel one. They actually have pretty good customer service, I wouldn't hesitate to call.

Tapco has awesome customer service and I bet you they replace that pin for free. Even with the metal pin, that stock is still crap and I would replace it first chance you get. Bad mojo to take the worlds most reliable rifle and make it less so with a cheap stock. Their other stuff is made pretty well though. I wouldn't hesitate in recpmmending their T6 stock.
